Delivery set · GPS and credentials

Clean photo metadata before you deliver the set

The file a client downloads still has whatever the camera and the export wrote. GPS can place the shoot. A generative edit can attach Content Credentials. Strip those from the JPEG, PNG, or WebP you send. The pixels stay. A platform label is a separate problem this page does not solve.

Cleans metadata in your browser. SynthID and TrustMark stay in the pixels. A cleaned file does not force Instagram to drop a label.

Inspect one delivery JPEG, then clean it

Strip mode

1 image free in this browser · Pro $9.99 one-time unlocks unlimited cleans + batch ZIP · How to use

Do it in the tool, in this order

  1. Drop the JPEG, PNG, or WebP you will actually publish. Try sample only shows what a report looks like.
  2. Set the mode to EXIF / GPS.
  3. Press Inspect only if you want to look. Press Clean this file to strip. The same press re-scans the result, and the After column is that new scan of the cleaned bytes.
  4. Press Download cleaned image. Upload that file. The name ends in -cleaned.

Export the stills you will send

This cleaner reads JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, and BMP. It does not open RAW, DNG, or a Lightroom catalog. Export from Lightroom, Capture One, or Photos to JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or HEIC, with the size and color you actually intend to deliver. Then inspect that export. Cleaning a sidecar XMP next to a RAW, or a preview JPEG the catalog made for itself, does not change the file you attach to the gallery link.

Name the export so it cannot be confused with the camera original. The download this tool produces ends in -cleaned. Send that file. If the camera roll still contains the original HEIC with GPS, and you attach that original by habit, the strip never happened.

Privacy mode, not AI provenance

The tool on this page opens in Privacy EXIF / GPS. That pass drops GPS, camera and device EXIF, common IPTC, and C2PA, so a provenance manifest is not left behind as a side channel. The owner page for the privacy job is remove EXIF.

AI provenance is the wrong default for a delivery. It keeps ordinary camera EXIF, including GPS, and only targets C2PA and known AI metadata. Use it when a client needs the camera block and you only want a manifest gone. If the After report still shows a map pin, you are in the wrong mode. Switch to privacy or strip-all and verify again. The mode table, without the delivery steps, is clean EXIF and AI metadata.

Generative edits on an otherwise normal photograph

Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and Generative Remove can leave a Content Credentials history on the document. Deleting the layer does not erase that history. Export As can copy it into the JPEG. Inspect the export: a C2PA chip means the manifest is in the file you are about to send. Privacy mode removes it from that file.

It does not remove a manifest you published only to Adobe’s cloud, and it does not restore the pixels from before the fill. The Photoshop-specific leftovers are Generative Fill metadata. What the manifest is, as opposed to a watermark, is Content Credentials.

Client copy. After you send a file, stripping your local master does not change the copy they already have. Clean before the link goes out.

One file, then a folder

Run one hero frame through Inspect only and Clean this file. Read GPS and C2PA in the After column. When that report matches what you want the client to receive, the same mode is what you want on the rest of the set.

The single file stays free. A folder is the batch unlock: Unlock Pro. That unlock builds one ZIP of cleaned files in the browser. It does not upload the photos to produce the ZIP, it does not remove SynthID or any other pixel watermark, and it does not guarantee that Instagram will stay quiet if the client posts a frame. Restore the unlock on a new browser with the checkout email at /restore.

Questions

Does this remove the shoot location?

It removes GPS tags from the exported JPEG, PNG, or WebP when those tags are present. A caption, a watermark you burned in, and an unexported RAW are untouched.

What about Generative Fill on a client photo?

The export can still carry Content Credentials. Privacy mode strips that manifest from the file. A cloud credential and the edited pixels remain.

How does a whole folder work?

One file is free. The batch unlock is Unlock Pro and returns a ZIP. Checkout is on the pricing page. The images stay on your machine for the clean.

Will Instagram skip the AI label?

No. Delivery cleaning is about the file you hand over. A platform can still label a later upload. This tool does not force that label off.

Creator, copyright, and caption sit in XMP and IPTC, not in EXIF; what removes them, and how to put a copyright line back afterwards, is on remove XMP and IPTC metadata. A measured run over a mixed folder is on bulk EXIF remover.

Selling instead of delivering? Remove metadata from product images covers listing photos. Exports that a platform labels as AI-edited are on Lightroom Content Credentials.

Clean the file, then publish that download

Use the tool above. Download only after the After report matches the tags you meant to remove.

Questions people ask

Will this remove the address where I took the photo?

When GPS is in the EXIF of a JPEG, PNG, or WebP, privacy mode and strip-all remove those GPS tags and the verify pass lists them gone. The tool cannot remove a location that exists only in your caption, a map you drew on the image, or a RAW file you did not export.

I used Generative Fill or Generative Remove. Does the delivery export still say so?

It can. Photoshop can attach Content Credentials to the JPEG or PNG even after you delete the generative layer. Privacy mode drops that manifest from the file. It does not delete a copy published to Adobe’s cloud, and it does not undo the pixel edit.

Can I drop a whole folder?

One image is free in the browser, with no account. A folder is the Pro unlock, which builds a ZIP of cleaned files. The photos are not uploaded to be cleaned. Restore that unlock with the checkout email.

Does a cleaned delivery stop Instagram from adding an AI label later?

No. This page prepares the files you hand to a client. If someone posts one and a platform labels it, the label is that platform’s decision. Stripping metadata does not force the label off.
