Before / after field report
Category groups for C2PA, AI, GPS, EXIF, XMP — MetaStrip-level readability — then a verify re-scan of the cleaned bytes.
Drop a JPEG, PNG, or WebP and strip AI metadata locally: C2PA Content Credentials, AI XMP hints, and optional EXIF/GPS. You get a MetaStrip-class before/after field report and a verify re-scan — then one clear download. Built for honest provenance cleanup — not undetectable AI.
Remove AI Meta removes metadata (including C2PA Content Credentials when present). It does not remove SynthID / TrustMark pixel watermarks and does not guarantee platform AI labels disappear.

Stripping rewrites JPEG, PNG, and WebP in the browser. Try sample without uploading. Nothing leaves the device for the core tool.
We strip metadata provenance — not SynthID, TrustMark, or “undetectable AI”. HEIC later. Platforms can still re-label from other signals.
Searchers type remove AI meta and remove AI metadata when a file still carries provenance tags: Content Credentials, IPTC DigitalSourceType, generator text chunks, or camera EXIF. This home tool is the general cleaner — inspect findings, scrub in a chosen mode, then verify the cleaned bytes in the same tab. Other jobs keep their own URLs so we do not cannibalize one page with three intents.
Compared with commodity EXIF removers (and thin “remove AI label” clones), we treat C2PA / Content Credentials as a first-class target and show category chips (C2PA, AI, GPS, EXIF, XMP) so the report is readable like MetaStrip / Vaultaire / ExifReader-style inspectors — without pretending pixel watermarks are gone.
| Format | C2PA / Content Credentials | EXIF / GPS | AI text / XMP |
|---|---|---|---|
| JPEG | APP11 / JUMBF segments; XMP pointers | APP1 Exif | APP1 XMP; IPTC APP13 |
| PNG | caBX chunk | eXIf | tEXt / iTXt / zTXt (e.g. parameters) |
| WebP | C2PA / caBX-class RIFF chunks | EXIF chunk | XMP chunk |
| Mode | Removes | Keeps (typical) |
|---|---|---|
| AI provenance (default) | C2PA/JUMBF, Content Credentials XMP, AI DigitalSourceType, known AI PNG text | Ordinary camera EXIF when it is not AI/C2PA-linked |
| Privacy EXIF | GPS, device/camera EXIF, common IPTC (+ C2PA by default) | Pixels only — privacy-first pass |
| Strip all | All detected EXIF / XMP / IPTC / C2PA categories in the report | Image payload / structural chunks |
SynthID / TrustMark / soft-binding watermarks are not ordinary EXIF or C2PA metadata. Remove AI Meta does not claim pixel-watermark removal, “undetectable AI”, or guaranteed platform AI-label erasure. If Instagram still shows AI Info after a clean verify pass, the signal was not (only) file metadata.
HEIC/HEIF: not shipped client-side yet. Export to JPEG / PNG / WebP first — we will not fake HEIC support.
caBX stripping.Tools that promise “remove AI label forever” or “undetectable” (common on removeailabel-class pages) are selling a different physics. We compete on local inspect → scrub → verify for containers we support, clear mode labels, and copy that matches what the bytes actually change. Ghoststrip / metastrip-style inspectors win on readability — so do we. If a platform still stamps AI Info after a clean verify pass, the signal was not (only) metadata.
Prep files before Instagram upload. Strips provenance metadata some apps read as AI Info — no platform-label guarantee.
Feed, Pages, Groups, and Marketplace stills — Meta AI Info / Made with AI file prep before upload.
Photo-mode, carousel, and cover thumbnails — strip C2PA before TikTok’s auto label can fire.
Technical Content Credentials / JUMBF removal for creators and engineers who know they have a C2PA manifest.
Privacy angle: GPS, camera model, and device fields off photos you are about to share.
Free core ships forever — single-file inspect, clean, and verify with no account. Pro is a one-time unlock for batch multi-file cleaning (no login; restore by checkout email).

No. Inspect, clean, and verify run entirely in your browser. Files stay on your device for stripping.
It can remove C2PA Content Credentials and related AI provenance metadata that some platforms read from the file. Platforms may still label media using other signals. We do not guarantee label removal. See Instagram AI Info, Facebook AI Info, TikTok AI label, and the Instagram how-to for those jobs.
No. SynthID and TrustMark are not ordinary EXIF or C2PA metadata. Remove AI Meta does not claim pixel-watermark or undetectable-AI removal.
JPEG, PNG, and WebP. HEIC/HEIF is not client-side ready yet — export to JPEG/PNG/WebP first. PDF, DOCX, and video are stretch goals.
AI provenance targets C2PA/Content Credentials and known AI metadata while optionally keeping camera EXIF. Strip-all removes the metadata categories we detect, including EXIF/GPS/XMP/C2PA.
Yes. Single-file inspect, scrub, and verify is free. Pro batch checkout uses a Waffo no-login shell and stays soft-disabled until Remove AI Meta payment secrets are ready. License restore will live at /restore.
After Clean & verify, the After panel is a fresh re-scan of the cleaned bytes. Download only after that verify pass looks right — or re-import the downloaded file with Inspect only.
