Facebook’s AI Info (and older “Made with AI” wording) often fires when Meta reads C2PA or related AI provenance tags in the upload — across profiles, Pages, Groups, and Marketplace. Why a Facebook owner (not another Instagram clone)
People search remove Facebook AI label / remove AI Info from Facebook for Marketplace listings, Page covers, Group carousels, and Feed posts — surfaces Instagram’s owner page does not name. Meta’s scanner is shared, but the SERP job and false-positive stories differ. We keep one job per URL: Instagram AI Info stays Instagram-primary; this page owns Facebook wording and surfaces.

Honest SynthID boundary
SynthID / TrustMark / soft-binding watermarks are not ordinary EXIF or C2PA metadata. Remove AI Meta does not claim pixel-watermark removal, “undetectable AI”, or guaranteed platform AI-label erasure. If Instagram still shows AI Info after a clean verify pass, the signal was not (only) file metadata.
HEIC/HEIF: not shipped client-side yet. Export to JPEG / PNG / WebP first — we will not fake HEIC support.
Common false positives on Facebook
- Marketplace product shot with AI background removal in Canva or Firefly
- Page cover after Photoshop Generative Fill on a real photo
- Group carousel where one slide was not cleaned
- Ad still exported from CapCut / Firefly with Content Credentials intact
Cleaning addresses file-level triggers on images you own. Disclose AI-assisted edits where Meta or your jurisdiction requires it — metadata hygiene is not a substitute for required disclosure.
